
Maine’s first major winter storm of the season blanketed the whole state with snow Tuesday.
The bulk of the storm wrapped up overnight after causing dozens of crashes across the state but minimal power outages. Wednesday has seen few closings and cancellations, as well, though more than a handful of schools got off to a late start.
Below is a list of preliminary snowfall totals from across the state. The National Weather Service office in Caribou released its latest figures at 7:57 p.m. Tuesday, while the weather service station in Gray released its at 9:20 p.m. Figures weren’t available at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday for either Lincoln or Waldo County.
