Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried took over New York City for The Housemaid premiere — and got everyone in the holiday spirit with their stunning looks.

The duo was all smiles as they posed together on Tuesday, December 2, while walking the red carpet on Seventh Ave in the Big Apple to celebrate the release of their upcoming thriller. Costars Michele Morrone and Brandon Sklenar were in attendance as well.

Sweeney, 28, glittered in a sparkling low-cut silver custom Miu Miu gown paired with a feathered boa. The actress completed her old Hollywood glamour look by adding extensions to her signature blonde hair, and bringing back her long curls.

Seyfried, 40, went with a pink Versace by Dario Vitale gown and made a major statement with her chunky jewelry. The actress also had her long blonde hair curled for the event.

‘The Housemaid’ Trailer Offers 1st Look as Sydney Sweeney in Titular Role

Sweeney stars as Millie in The Housemaid — based on the book of the same name by Freida McFadden — which is set to hit theaters on Friday, December 19. Seyfried will appear as Nina, a wealthy woman who hires Nina as her family’s housemaid. After moving into their home, Millie quickly discovers that things aren’t as they seem in the perfect Winchester household.

During Tuesday’s red carpet, Sweeney discussed the importance of finding “empathy” for the characters she plays — even if she doesn’t always agree with their choices. For Millie, specifically, it was teased that the character will do some “morally questionable” things in this movie.

“It’s complex, but that’s where you find the vulnerability in that person,” Sweeney told Variety. “It’s our job to find every single layer to a person, whether we believe or agree with it or not.”

Sweeney also gushed over the close-knit relationship she formed with Seyfried on set.

“Amanda and I became sisters. She was the bestest friend ever,” Sweeney also told Variety on the red carpet. “We have so much fun together, and I actually think that when you have a scene partner and actor that you can have fun with and you feel safe with and free, it actually makes those kinds of scenes even better.”

The movie’s cast and crew (even The Housemaid author) have continued to tease that the movie is better than the book. During Tuesday’s premiere, Sweeney explained the pros of working on an adaptation over an original script — even if there are changes.

“It’s cool because I get more facts,” she explained. “I get more of the world built out for me. I’m getting to draw more inspiration from different sources, like the book, so it kind of helps me shape the character in the world more.”

After walking the red carpet on Tuesday, The Housemaid cast stepped on stage before screening the film. They were presented with cake and social media videos revealed that Seyfried was handed a giant knife. She and Sweeney held hands as they stabbed the center of the cake and hugged.

The Housemaid is set to hit theaters later this month.
