JoJo Siwa shared a health update after being hospitalized with an ovarian cyst rupture last week.
“It’s been nothing short of an eventful weekend that’s for sure!🤍,” Siwa, 22, captioned a carousel of pictures posted to Instagram on Tuesday, December 2.
The “Karma” singer continued, “Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers! I’m happy to say I’m doing a bit better, I’m not in the clear yet, but feeling better and doing well!”
“I had a bit of a scare with a fever the night after I went to the hospital, but slept and woke up fever free and have been since! 🤍 resting when I can and drinking lots and lots of electrolytes,” she continued. “Keeping it pushing! Thank you for checking in on me and sending messages … it’s been a beautiful circle of love and support that has helped me heal!🤍”

Siwa first revealed that she was hospitalized in a November 29 TikTok video, revealing that she had been in “excruciating” pain on November 27, just one day before she was due to perform at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.
JoJo and her mom, Jessalynn Siwa, called 911, and the Dance Moms alum was taken to a local hospital, where she discovered that “one of [her] ovaries had a cyst on it that burst and was bleeding into [her] stomach.”
“That’s what was causing the excruciating pain — anytime that the blood in your stomach moves, that’s the bleeding in the stomach,” JoJo said in her video. “It’s brutal pain. Long story short, [the issue] should revolve itself. It should stop on its own.”
JoJo thanked medical staff at the hospital for ensuring she was well enough to perform at the Mall of America, where she sang her new festive song, “Message to the World (Little Drummer Girl).”

“Today, we’re gonna go to work and we’re gonna dance again. I’m afraid how this dance is gonna affect me because I’m going to be dancing, but it’s only going to be an hour. We’re going to do it,” she said in the TikTok video, noting that she was not yet “100 percent.”
“We’re going to keep it pushing, and if I vomit or if I have that excruciating pain burst again, I’ve got to go immediately back in, but we should be OK,” she added at the time.
In Tuesday’s Instagram post, JoJo shared photos of her hospitalization, including one of her being helped into the back of an ambulance, and snaps from her performance at the Mall of America.
JoJo Siwa Through the Years: From ‘Dance Moms’ and Beyond
“Aside from all the drama with my Cyster…. I’ve had a great week going around to different dance studios across America and teaching the choreography to my new Christmas song ‘Message To The World (Little Drummer Girl),’” she wrote in the caption. “It hasn’t been easy and I’ve been up and down with pain, but seeing the SMILES on the kids faces while dancing and hanging out for a little bit makes it so worth it!!”
“Mall of America performance was amazing!!” JoJo further updated her fans. “So grateful for everyone that came and watched! The reviews online have been really fun to see (I’ve had so much downtime on my phone doing nothing while resting so I’ve see it all!)!! Thank you for the love!! Was really fun to do a holiday concert and perform these songs!!”
