Miley Cyrus has kept her relationship with Maxx Morando on the low-key side since they started dating in 2021.
The couple sparked dating speculation that year when they spent time together in Miami on New Year’s Eve. The Disney alum — who was hosting NBC’s Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party with Pete Davidson at the time — raised eyebrows when she debuted her new song “You.”
“I want that late night sweet magic / That forever lasting love / But only if it’s with you,” she sang. Fans quickly wondered if the lyrics were inspired by Morando.
In March 2022, the duo were photographed packing on the PDA during a romantic getaway to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. A source told Us Weekly exclusively at the time that Cyrus and Morando were “very compatible with each other” and they connected over shared interests.

News broke in December 2025 that Cyrus and Morando were engaged after four years together.
Cyrus was previously married to her The Last Song costar Liam Hemsworth. The former couple announced their separation in August 2019, finalizing their divorce the next year.

The singer does have an Instagram account, but he’s not really active, only using the platform to promote his music. However, Cyrus previously revealed that Morando loves Reddit.
“Honestly, he’s raised our dog off Reddit. I’m like, ‘Are you sure we’re supposed to be doing this?’” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “And he’s like, ‘On Reddit it says blah, blah, blah.’”
