Garcelle Beauvais is opening up about her dating life after exiting The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“I’m dating and it’s fun,” Beauvais exclusively told Us Weekly last month while promoting her recent Lifetime movies, which she serves as both a star and executive producer, Taken at a Truck Stop: A Black Girl Missing Movie and Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted 2 Love.
“And I think, you know, now I’m finding a good balance and my heart is open, so we’ll see what happens,” she added.
The former reality TV star went on to admit that it’s much easier to date when she’s not living her life in front of The Real Housewives cameras.
“Yes, 100 percent — that was the tricky part for me,” she explained. “In my first season, I did have someone in my life and, you know, not everybody wants to sign up for that. And the kind of guy I want to be with, I don’t want him to want to be on a reality show. That’s just me.”
Garcelle Beauvais Would Consider Returning to ‘RHOBH’ if 1 Person Leaves
She continued, “I mean, it was fun but I’m happy — a little privacy is nice for me. You know, it was tough to be in that fish bowl. And I know the fandom is amazing, and everybody loves the show, and I took a lot away with me from it. But I’m also happy that I get to spend more time with my kids before they go off to college, and I get to do all these great creative things that I like to do.”
Garcelle announced her departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after five seasons in March 2025.

“Hey, guys, so I have some news. I’ve decided to leave Beverly Hills,” Garcelle said in an Instagram video at the time. “It’s been a wild ride. I mean, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened, but it’s been a ride nevertheless.”
Part of the reason for her decision to step away from reality TV was to spend more time with her twin sons, Jax and Jaid.
“Their last year of high school is next year, and I want to be a part of that, and Jaid is starting a new career, and I want to be a part of that too,” she continued. “Secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I’m developing, producing and acting in. I can’t tell you anything right now, but you’ll know soon.”
She continued, “I want to say thank you so much, you guys have cheered me on, supported me and sometimes even fought for me or on my behalf. It means a lot, and I hope you guys will continue on this journey with me. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. So, see you later.”
Andy Cohen Praises Garcelle Beauvais’ ‘Impeccable’ Dating Roster
Last month, Garcelle did admit that she would consider returning to the beloved reality TV franchise — but on one condition.
“Garcelle, is there anyone from Beverly Hills that could leave that would make you consider coming back and, if so, who?” an audience member asked Garcelle during her appearance on the October 23 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
“That’s a very good question,” Garcelle responded, before ultimately answering, “Erika,” with little hesitation, referring to former costar Erika Jayne.
