The man injured in a Thanksgiving explosion has been identified.
Cliff Hannon, 66, was inside the Lakeview Drive home in Oakland about 3 p.m. Thursday when the blast destroyed the two-story home, according to Maine State Police Lt. Aaron Turcotte.
Hannon was taken to Thayer Hospital in Waterville with serious injuries before being airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Turcotte said Friday that the initial investigation suggests there was a propane leak that subsequently ignited. But investigators have ruled out home’s propane tanks as the source.
Currently, they are examining several propane appliances as the possible cause, according to Turcotte.
