Leslie Caudill Turner, the wife of missing high school football coach Travis Turner, addressed the mysterious disappearance of her husband, who hasn’t been seen since last week.
“I just wanted to get on here for a second to clear up something, as of right now, 10:25 PM on Friday night, Travis is missing, & that’s all we know,” Leslie wrote in a since-deleted Facebook post, according to multiple outlets.
Leslie continued, “We love him & need him here with us. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love & support. It means more than you know. Just keep praying that he comes home.”
Before his disappearance, Leslie was a huge supporter of her husband and the Union High School football team in Stone Gap, Virginia, where Travis coached. Leslie would routinely post the final score of Union’s games, writing, “That’s the ballgame!”

Travis went missing on Thursday, November 20.
Agents from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation were dispatched to Travis’ home on Thursday, hoping to speak with him about an open investigation. When they were en route, agents were informed that Travis was no longer at the residence.
Virginia State Police explained that agents were not headed to Travis’ house in order to arrest him.
Travis’ disappearance comes as Wise County Public Schools, for whom Travis is employed, announced an unnamed staff member had been placed on administrative leave on Friday, November 21.
“At this time, a staff member has been placed on administrative leave with pay while an external agency reviews an allegation that was reported to us,” Wise County Public Schools said in a statement. “This is standard procedure and not a determination of wrongdoing. The division cannot comment further.”
The specific details of the allegations are unknown and Travis has not been officially linked to being at the center of the investigation.
Travis was officially listed as “an endangered missing person” on Saturday, November 22, Virginia State Police 1st Sgt. Jason Day told News Channel 11.
Day explained that drones and K-9 units had been employed in a search for Travis, which has centered on a wooded area near his home.
“He had went into the woods right near the general location of his house, and that’s basically where we’ve focused our search on,” Day said.

When Travis went missing, Union High School was in the midst of an undefeated season that has since continued in his absence.
Union defeated Graham High School 12-0 in the state regional semifinals on Saturday, November 22, during which interim head coach Jay Edwards took over coaching duties.
“Today is really about the students here and at Union High School,” Wise County Public Schools superintendent Mike Goforth told News Channel 11. “You know, I can’t discuss any personnel matters, and I really think that folks need to review the statement that we released yesterday. You can refer to the last statement if there’s no further comment at this time.”
Union will face Ridgeview High School in the state regional finals on Saturday, November 29.
