ELLSWORTH — Downtown Ellsworth comes alive during the holidays, with twinkling lights, glowing shop windows and neighbors enjoying the season together. This year, the Holiday Marketplace sponsored by Renewal By Andersen adds one more reason to linger downtown and celebrate what makes this community so special.
For two festive weekends, Nov. 28–29 and Dec. 5–6, the Heart of Ellsworth gallery space at 16 State Street will be filled with creativity from seven Maine makers offering handmade goods and thoughtful gifts perfect for holiday giving. The Marketplace will be open Fridays from 3-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Featured makers for the first weekend include Winter Fern Studio, Leslie Jones, Kassarts, Vixen Hollow Arts and Jenny King. The second weekend will feature Winter Fern Studio, E&C Ceramics, Kassarts, Vixen Hollow Arts and The Loon Bag.
The Holiday Marketplace is a celebration of local craftsmanship and community connection. It complements the energy already buzzing downtown as shops, restaurants and galleries light up for the season. Visitors are invited to stroll, shop and enjoy the charm of Ellsworth’s historic center while supporting local creators.
“We’re proud to offer a space where local makers can showcase their work and connect with the community,” said Chesnee Barney, marketing and events coordinator of Heart of Ellsworth. “This marketplace is one of many ways shoppers can experience the creativity and spirit of downtown Ellsworth”
Heart of Ellsworth thanks Renewal by Andersen for sponsoring this year’s Holiday Marketplace and for their ongoing investment in the people and places that make downtown Ellsworth thrive.
