A Milford man allegedly broke into a Bangor apartment Sunday, slept on a couch and then refused to leave.
Jose Harvey, 50, has been charged with aggravated criminal trespass, according to Sgt. Jeremy Brock, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department.
The State Street apartment’s tenant awoke Sunday morning to find Harvey allegedly sleeping on their couch. He refused to leave, Brock said Tuesday morning.
The tenant later found a bathroom window had been opened and all their Christmas presents had been unwrapped near where Harvey was found, according to Brock.
When questioned by police, Harvey couldn’t “provide a logical reason why he was in the apartment,” Brock said.
Harvey was taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
