The homes that are selling in Maine paint a picture of what prospective buyers are looking for — and what they can afford.

Rather than showing homes that are for sale, we wanted to feature a few local properties that residents have bought in recent weeks. All are single-family houses with an average selling price of around $500,000, nearly double the price of an average Bangor home, which rested around $281,500 as of Friday.

Here are five homes in Bangor that agents from NextHome Experience have sold so far this month.
