A man was arrested Monday after a standoff in Clifton.
Michael Olsen, 71, of Clifton has been charged with domestic violence and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
Olsen allegedly made threats involving a gun toward the victim who alerted police about 5:15 a.m.
Deputies secured Olsen’s neighbors and passing drivers on Route 9. The victim left the home without injury.
After hours of negotiation, Olsen surrendered to police.
He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor.
