Jerry O’Connell has nothing but love for his wife Rebecca Romijn’s former partner, John Stamos.
“First @zohrankmamdani and @realdonaldtrump. Then me and @johnstamos,” O’Connell, 51, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, November 22, referring to the somewhat unlikely meeting between the New York City mayor-elect and the sitting U.S. president. “Gorgeous fam and gorgeous people @johnstamos & @caitlinskybound.”
He added, “Happy Birthday @howiemandel.”
O’Connell and Stamos, 62, attended Mandel’s 62nd birthday party on Saturday. For the occasion, O’Connell wore a Toronto Blue Jays jersey, while Stamos looked dapper in a burgundy blazer over a black button-down. The two men posed with Stamos’ wife, Caitlin McHugh, who stunned in a belted olive dress.

Mandel has since taken credit for the unexpected reunion.
“This is what I do. I bring people together,” he wrote via Instagram comment. “You’re welcome 👏.”
Stamos was famously married to Romijn, 53, from 1998 to 2005, before she moved on with O’Connell.
“As I’m lifting Rebecca up, I’m losing myself,” Stamos wrote in his 2023 memoir, If You Would Have Told Me, recalling their whirlwind marriage. “She makes it clear that I’m the TV guy and she’s the newly minted star. … Somewhere deep inside, I start to believe it.”
Stamos further claimed that he and Romijn experienced “ups and downs” in their marriage as she got increasingly busy with her own career and friends.
“We’re trying new things and growing, but not together,” he wrote, admitting that it felt “harder to make time for each other, slow down, disconnect from the chaos of the world, and make eye contact again.”
Romijn later alleged that she was “blindsided” by Stamos’ book accusations.
“I was very surprised by all of that, incredibly shocked actually,” she told Entertainment Tonight in January 2024. “I was sort of blindsided by it. But you know, I don’t really want to help him sell his books based on those headlines. So that’s all I really want to say about it.”
O’Connell, for his part, similarly claimed that he didn’t get a heads up about what was in the book.

“You know, it’s not really my place to say [anything],” O’Connell told Access Hollywood in October 2023. “I would rather my wife talk about that. … My wife and I are getting along so well today.”
O’Connell and Romijn have been married since 2007, eventually welcoming twins Dolly and Charlie.
“My children are 14 and they see what we see now,” O’Connell previously said on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live in November 2023, when asked about Stamos comparing Romijn to the devil in the book. “There’s no hiding, there’s no restricting them, there’s no more keeping things from them. It’s pretty crazy when, you know, your kids come out for breakfast and they go, ‘Hey, mom, your ex has a book out and called you the devil. What are your thoughts? Why did he call you that?’”
He continued, “That’s where it gets interesting, and it’s interesting. We have no secrets, though.”
Stamos has also moved on, marrying McHugh, 39, in 2018 and welcoming their son, Billy, later that year.
