Trainor has been transparent about her decision to use the weight-loss drug Mounjaro, sharing her experience candidly with fans in April.
The singer said that she and her husband opted for Mounjaro because it “had less side effects” than other weight loss injections. (GLP-1 injections are primarily prescribed to help people who have diabetes with weight management.)

When Trainor got pregnant, she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, which kicked off her health journey.
“If I want to tour forever, I got to be at my strongest,” she said during a November 2025 interview on the KIIS FM radio show. “If I want to lift up my kids from their crib and not pull out my back.”
She’s “focused on her health” and strength trains three times a week.
“Now, I’m obsessed with like how’s my hormones? How’s my gut? Because I just want to feel good, because this job is hard to do if you don’t feel good,” she explained. “But I got a lot of hate for being thinner. So that confused me and rattled me.”
