Real Housewives of Orange County alum Kelly Dodd is defending former costar Meghan King after she temporarily lost custody of her children to her ex-husband Jim Edmonds.
Dodd, 50, addressed the situation via TikTok on Wednesday, November 19, calling Meghan, 41, “an excellent mother.”
“And I just pray that she gets her babies back,” Dodd continued. “Everyone, just pray for Meghan and her family. Those boys and that daughter need their mom. They need their mother, and it’s terrible what is going on right now.”
Dodd added that she and Meghan have “had a lot of differences and a lot of fights, and a lot of things,” but that her friend “stayed at my house and I took care of her when she got her boobs and her nose done, and I can tell you: She loves those babies. She loves those kids. And I know, for a fact, she’s a good mother.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Us Weekly exclusively reported that Meghan was stripped of physical custody of her three kids following a call from a school employee to Child Protective Services, which sparked an investigation.
Several sources told Us that the decision was made in recent months, and that a court temporarily gave Meghan supervised visitation and Jim, 55, sole physical custody over their 8-year-old daughter, Aspen, and 7-year-old twin sons, Hart and Hayes.
A hearing will be held in December to determine the status of the custody arrangement. Us reached out to Meghan for comment. Jim declined to comment.
Meghan and Jim tied the knot in 2014 and divorced five years later. In 2021, they agreed to share joint custody of their little ones.
Jim Edmonds’ Wife Calls Cops After Meghan King Allegedly Enters Couple’s Home
Us previously reported an incident involving Meghan and Jim’s wife, Kortnie Edmonds, back in May. Cops were called on Meghan after she arrived at Jim and Kortnie’s home to drop off a dress for Aspen. (Jim and Kortnie wed in 2022.)
According to a report by the Frontenac Police Department, “Meghan refused to hand Kortnie the dress and ‘pulled away and asked to speak to’ [her daughter]. Kortnie told Meghan that [Aspen] wasn’t home and she was at a baseball game with Jim.”
Kortnie told police officers that she closed the door on Meghan after telling her to leave the dress. She walked back to her office and then heard Meghan calling for Aspen inside the home.
Kortnie initially requested that charges be brought against Meghan, but called the police after they left and explained that she’d changed her mind. Meghan was not arrested or detained.

“[Meghan] is over this back and forth,” a source told Us at the time. “She thinks it’s ridiculous. It was a very simple interaction that didn’t need police. [Meghan] is unfazed because she doesn’t want to escalate conflict. She just wants to take care of her family in peace.”
Kortnie filed a petition for a restraining order in May and dropped the case a month later after reaching a pact with Meghan. They must not come near each other, and Meghan can’t discuss Kortnie on social media.
During her confrontation with Kortnie last spring, Meghan told police that Jim was “emotionally abusive” and “uses his name to push me around and his money.”
Jim’s representative refuted her claims at the time, telling Us, “Jim is an active and present father to all his children. The unfortunate part of all this is that it’s the kids who suffer the most. Jim has always been willing to coparent in a respectful and productive way however Meghan has yet to reciprocate.”
