On Oct. 21, the Hind Rajab Foundation, based in Brussels, filed a lawsuit with the International Criminal Court against Israeli soldiers and commanders for the murder on Jan. 29, 2024, of five-year-old Hind Rajab, members of her family, and Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics sent to rescue her. The filing came one day after the broadcast of an Al Jazerra documentary in which the battalion, company and commanders responsible were identified.

As described on the foundation website, the lawsuit includes “comprehensive digital, satellite, and forensic evidence confirming that Merkava IV tanks repeatedly fired on the black Kia Picanto in which Hind and her family were trapped, and later targeted the ambulance sent to rescue her.” Critical analysis showed the family’s car was riddled with 335 bullet holes.

What makes the murder of Hind and her family different from the killing of other Palestinian civilians, less able to be ignored or covered up, is the indisputable evidence. Those responsible have been identified.

Additionally, there appears to be an American link to the case. The officer who is said to have given the direct order for tank crew members to fire on the passenger car has been identified as Major Sean Glass, commander of the Vampire Empire Company, and reportedly a former U.S. Navy Seal officer. So it seems the United States not only produces weapons for the genocide of Palestinians; it may also supply the killers.
