Meghan King is a reality TV personality, real estate advisor and mother of three.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum married former baseball pro Jim Edmonds in 2014. They went on to welcome daughter Aspen via IVF in 2016, followed by twin sons Hart and Hayes in 2018. (Through her marriage to Edmonds, King also became a stepmother to his four children from previous relationships.)
King and Edmonds ultimately split in 2019, with their divorce being finalized in May 2021. The exes continued to coparent Aspen, Hart and Hayes as they shared joint custody, but an investigation from Child Protective Services led King to temporarily lose physical custody of the kids, Us Weekly exclusively reported in November 2025.

Meghan King and Jim Edmonds welcomed daughter Aspen via IVF on November 24, 2016, after struggling with infertility.
“I have a lot of friends who have had fertility issues. Some talk about it and some don’t talk about it, but one thing is consistent: It’s hard on every single one of them,” she told Us in June 2016 of her struggles to conceive. “I’m an open person, so I wanted to show my process and the heartaches and the ups and the downs that go with IVF so people can say, ‘It’s OK to feel this way.’”
King celebrated Aspen’s 8th birthday in November 2024 by sharing a sweet tribute via Instagram.
“Eight years ago I gave birth to the greatest joy I’ve ever known,” she wrote. “It was on that Thanksgiving that I learnt what it truly meant to be thankful, and I’ve been laughing and crying ever since. Aspen: graceful, strong, fearless, resilient, beautiful, and the happiest, smiliest angel princess of all things kind and girly and fun there is. You will know when she’s around, she’s a force of the highest vibration. God bestowed quite a blessing to us all.”
Hart and Hayes
Meghan King and Jim Edmonds’ twin sons, Hart and Hayes, were born in June 2018. “They’re such good babies,” she exclusively told Us at the time. “I feel really lucky.”
“They’re early, so they were born exactly at 37 weeks. And so that’s still considered a week premature, so we could have run into issues,” King explained. “We didn’t, but since Hart was smaller, when your bilirubin level is higher, they take it a little bit more serious. … But I’m just happy that I didn’t have to deal with NICU time — like a lot of twin moms do — because I just don’t think I would be able to. I would handle it because you have to handle it, but I’m glad I didn’t have to.”
As for their personalities, King said, “Hayes is so chill. If he’s ever fussy, he just needs to burp and that’s it. Hart is like a wild man and he wants to be held all the time. He’s really good too. … [Aspen] cried a lot for the first five weeks and these guys don’t.”
Hart was diagnosed with cerebral palsy in 2020, and King has been open about the challenges of raising a child with this illness.

“My son Hart has cerebral palsy, which I have talked about. And he knows he has cerebral palsy, but there’s other things that have come up and I’ve just been trying to kind of figure out what that’s been,” she exclusively told Us in 2024. “His needs fall under the neurodivergent category. And so, like a lot of other parents with children in this category, it can be really trying to find your way through the weeds to figure out what’s going on with your kid and finding a diagnosis in order to be able to articulate his needs better so we can provide the access to [his] needs.”
Meghan King Lost Custody of Her Kids in 2025
King lost physical custody of her kids after a school employee called Child Protective Services, leading to an investigation, a source exclusively told Us in November 2025. She was granted supervised visitation while Edmonds has sole physical custody. The decision is temporary and a hearing will be held in December 2025 to further discuss the arrangement, according to the source.
Edmonds’ team declined to comment. Us reached out to King for comment.
