Paris Hilton is finding light in the darkness after years of public scrutiny.
Hilton, 44, broke down in tears while reflecting on the hate she received in the early 2000s in the official teaser trailer for her upcoming concert movie documentary, Infinite Icon.
“It’s hard because people are so judgmental, even with this concert, I’m so nervous,” the Simple Life star said in the trailer, which dropped on Wednesday, November 19.
A montage of throwback clips showing a younger Hilton partying at clubs was then shown as she continued, “I think when people would see me out at night, they just saw this carefree girl having the time of her life, and just look so happy. But I was young, and I had no idea the destruction of that innocence was right around the corner.”

The trailer then showed more throwback clips of Hilton being heavily photographed by paparazzi as a male voiceover said, “In the early Y2K days, it was part of the culture to talk down about women.” Hilton watched the footage in a movie theater as tears formed in her eyes.
“I knew somewhere deep down that if I listened to all the hateful comments out there in the world, I would never recover, so I decided to find the light within the darkness,” the socialite said in a voiceover. “The power of music is indescribable. Music saved my life.”
Paris, a great-granddaughter of Hilton Hotels founder Conrad Hilton, and former classmate Nicole Richie gained global fame with their reality series, The Simple Life, which aired on Fox from 2003 to 2007. The show featured the pair’s attempts to experience life with “normal” families coming from significantly different backgrounds, often putting them in rural areas.
At the height of her fame, Paris was often photographed out with Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and others. She was labeled by tabloids as a party girl.

Paris ventured into music by releasing her debut album, Paris, in 2006.
Paris’ media company, 11:11 Media, announced Infinite Icon back in June. The feature concert doc tells the story of the making of Hilton’s second album, Infinite Icon, which was released in September 2024, and the role that music has played in her life.
The concert film comes years after the This Is Paris documentary, which was released in September 2020. The YouTube Originals film explored never-before-heard details about Paris’ personal life, including her experiences as a former victim of the troubled teen industry, as well as the trajectory of her professional career.
The trailer for Paris’ upcoming film also comes days after she proclaimed that she’s “self-made” despite her status as an heiress.
“I’ve done this all on my own,” Paris told The Times of London in an interview published on November 15, referring to 11:11 Media, which is currently valued at $1 billion and employs 25 people. “No one’s ever given me anything in my entire life.”

Paris insisted that despite how the media depicted her when she was a teen, she lived a “sheltered life” with “strict parents,” Rick and Kathy Hilton, while she was growing up in Los Angeles.
“I was not allowed to wear makeup, not allowed to go on dates,” she explained. “I didn’t really go to the school dances.”
Paris continued, “I was just like any other young girl — growing up, going out — but I had the whole world watching. The media, especially the tabloids, they love to sensationalize everything.”
Infinite Icon premieres in theaters on January 30, 2026.
