Ken Todd’s iconic “Goodbye Kyle,” will never not be funny — just ask Kyle Richards.
Kyle, 56, teamed up with sister Kathy Hilton for a panel at BravoCon 2025 and detailed the last run-in she had with Lisa Vanderpump.
“The other night, I was in the Beverly Hills Hotel — I didn’t tell you this — and I saw Ken and Lisa,” Kyle recalled on Sunday, November 16. “I I sat there and I thought, ‘Well, what should I do?’ Because it doesn’t always go well when we see each other in person.”
She continued, “Maybe she did see me, maybe she didn’t. But as he was leaving, I said, ‘Goodbye, Ken.’ I didn’t know if he heard me or not, but I just had to do that.”
Kyle Richards Relives (and Recites) Her Most Iconic Moments from ‘RHOBH’
Kyle and Lisa, 65, were best friends for years before a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills story line fractured their relationship. During the show’s ninth season, which aired in 2019, Lisa was accused of leaking a story about Dorit Kemsley to the press.
At the time, Dorit adopted a dog — Lucy Lucy Apple Juice, for those who forgot — from Vanderpump Dogs. Dorit rehomed the dog to a shelter after it allegedly bit her husband, PK Kemsley. Lisa was accused of encouraging the Vanderpump Dog employees to discuss the situation on camera, and then the story went public.
When Kyle went to Lisa’s home to confront her over the allegations about who leaked the story, Ken ended their fighting with one line — “Goodbye, Kyle.”
Lisa left RHOBH after the drama and has been open about no longer wanting a relationship with Kyle or any other Housewives from the franchise.
RHOBH’s Kyle Richards Gets Real About How Much She ‘Misses’ Lisa Vanderpump
Lisa recently discussed her former castmates during an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in May 2024. Podcast host Alex Cooper asked Lisa if she had “ever known a cast mate’s partner was cheating.” Lisa said yes — alluding to Kyle and her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky. (Kyle and Mauricio separated in July 2023.)
“They’re on a reality show, and they’re living their lives,” she said. “Of course, all marriages have problems. Anybody that says, ‘He is perfect my love, and they’re my king.’ … I mean, f–k off. It’s your husband, get real.”
Lisa added, “Then suddenly, they get divorced, but they’ve been saying, ‘oh, love bean or my king.’ … Life’s not like that. You’ve got two imperfect people living together that it’s not, you know, and that’s bulls***.”
RHOBH fans were quick to clock Lisa using the term “love bean,” which is what Mauricio used to call Kyle on the show. Kyle responded to Lisa’s “inconsiderate” comments the following day.
“[She was] trying to imply that when I was, you know, showing myself being happy, that I actually wasn’t — which is an absolute lie, and she knows that,” Kyle said during an Amazon Live at the time. “She just does that to be really mean. And then she goes on to say, ‘I’m not saying who I’m talking about. I would never do such a thing.’ This is always what she does.”
