Three men and two women have died in a two-car crash in Co Louth on Saturday night, Irish police said.
The crash happened on the L3168 in Gibstown, Dundalk shortly after 9pm.
The victims were aged in their 20s.
The L3168 was closed between the N52 and the R171, while forensic experts were set to carry out their investigation work.
Traffic diversions were in place and officers have appealed for witnesses.
