As a resident of Blue Hill, Maine, I am proud to support the work of Rep. Nina Milliken of House District 16, representing Blue Hill, Brooksville, Castine, Sedgwick, Surry and Trenton.
She consistently speaks out in the Legislature for working families that face the greatest economic challenge with the price of groceries, housing and health care. She votes to protect critical investments the Legislature has made in health care, food security, education, housing and child care.
She sponsored successful legislation to reduce overdose deaths addressing the opioid epidemic and has been accepted to the Opioid Policy Fellows program established by the National Conference of State Legislatures.
Her outstanding work toward preventing sexual abuse, assault and harassment earned the National Sexual Violence Resource Center’s 2024 Visionary Voice Award.
Her concerns include a fair progressive tax that doesn’t make the wealthiest among us exempt from paying our share.
Our Maine legislators work overtime for our benefit, and Nina Milliken is one of the best.
