Snow and rain are expected to fall across Maine this weekend, according to National Weather Service forecasters.
Low pressure developing off Maine’s coast will bring snow to central and northern Maine, while Down East Maine can expect to see rain through the day Sunday. The snowy conditions will likely turn to mixed snow and rainfall over northeastern regions Sunday afternoon, with rain throughout southern Maine.
Precipitation amounts for the weekend are still uncertain at this point in time.
Heading into Friday, conditions during the day will be seasonal with mostly clear skies and temperatures in the mid to low 40s. Overnight lows will drop to the mid to low 20s, before daytime temperatures climb back to the mid 40s Saturday. Some cloud cover will move in during the day Saturday before scattered snow showers in the evening, mainly in northeastern regions.
Daytime temperatures on Sunday shift lower, in the mid to high 30s, as rain and snow moves in. Roads will likely be slick, and traveling conditions will be impacted.
