Taylor Frankie Paul is unapologetically herself on The Bachelorette — and she won’t hesitate to cut anyone there for the wrong reasons.
“They’re all amazing, which has made this all so much harder,” Taylor, 31, told host Jesse Palmer in a prerecorded segment during the Wednesday, November 12, finale of The Golden Bachelor about her contestants. “If they were not the best, it would make it easy to weed them out, but they’re just gentlemen and there’s chemistry with them. It’s been wild.”
While most of Taylor’s suitors are stand-up guys, there were a few bad apples in the crop.
“I’m not a very by-the-book girl, [and] I just want to be more comfortable,” she said. “The more comfortable we are, myself and the men … we try to be our truest selves. If I want to wear Crocs tonight, I’m wearing my Crocs. … Can we eat the food that’s on the table?”

She added, “But, also, if I want to send people home before the rose ceremony if I catch something, I’m sending them home.”
Jesse, 47, then revealed that Taylor “literally” did just cut one of her contestants “a couple hours ago.” (Taylor’s season is currently filming.)
“He made it easy because he was trying to fire back at me, and I’m like, ‘Absolutely not,’” Taylor stated. “I’m not here to waste your time, please don’t waste mine. If you’re here for the wrong reasons, you’re leaving.”
According to Taylor, one of the other men said that he was “terrified” by her abrupt dismissal decision.
“I was like, ‘Good,’” she quipped before acknowledging that it has been difficult to send the good guys home. “It’s part of this and so, saying goodbye is hard. Being away from my family is also difficult. I’ve never been away at all, so this is new to me. My most favorite part has been the unknown. I’m so excited for the rest of this journey.”
Taylor, who shares two kids with ex-husband Tate Paul and 17-month-son Ever with ex Dakota Mortensen, has also enjoyed the over-the-top Bachelorette dates.
“It’s been so fun,” she gushed. “The group dates have been insane by the way.”
Jesse teased that there is an “insane” Dancing With the Stars group date and that several of Taylor’s Secret Lives of Mormon Wives costars have supported her rose-filled journey.
“A few of them visited me and they helped me out a little bit,” Taylor said. “They gave me some info that was very good for me to know.”

Jesse, meanwhile, noted that not all the men appreciated the cameo from MomTok.
“Some guys are still licking their wounds from that group date because they got lashed,” Jesse added. “You’re doing things that no other Bachelorette has ever done before, things have already happened that we’ve never seen before.”
As for Taylor, she found it “fun to watch them shake a little bit.”
Despite the drama, Taylor does believe that her future husband is present in the Bachelor Mansion.
“I do think that,” she said. “It’s scary to say that because the last thing you want is to get your heart broken in this [and] you want it to be a mutual feeling. On my end, absolutely.”
The Bachelorette premieres on ABC Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET.
