A woman has died after being stabbed in the neck in Birmingham city centre on Friday night.
The 34-year-old was taken to hospital after being stabbed on Smallbrook Queensway shortly before 9pm, but has since died in hospital, West Midlands Police have said.
A man has been charged with attempted murder over the incident.
West Midlands Police said Djeison Rafael, 21, a black British national, also faces charges related to two further assaults and possession of a blade.
