I am proud to support Rep. Jared Golden for re-election because he consistently stands up for working Mainers and fights to keep essential services running. When government shutdowns loom, millions of Americans, including federal workers, veterans, and families, face lost pay, disrupted programs, and halted services. Golden has repeatedly voted to prevent shutdowns, even when it meant breaking with party lines, understanding that political brinkmanship should never come at the expense of everyday people.
Golden’s leadership has ensured that critical services such as Social Security, Medicare, and public health protections remain available to those who rely on them most. He also works tirelessly to protect access to affordable health care, including sponsoring legislation to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits that help families avoid massive premium increases.
In a time when politics too often puts partisan gain above people’s needs, Golden demonstrates to me that elected officials can lead with courage, integrity, and a focus on real-world impacts. That is why I am supporting him for re-election, to continue having a voice in Congress that fights for working Mainers to keep the government and the services people depend on up and running.
