With my six years of experience on the Bangor City Council, including serving as one term as chair, in conjunction with my current work supporting educators statewide, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of what effective council and school committee leadership looks like. For these reasons, I am casting my vote for Angela Walker for city council and Mallory Cook for school committee.
Both candidates bring significant expertise to address the key community issues we are currently facing.
Mallory possesses extensive experience both as a classroom teacher and as an advocate supporting educators throughout the state. I have seen firsthand how her efforts have contributed to the improvement of our schools statewide, and her knowledge and commitment will provide valuable benefits to students and staff alike.
Angela has achieved positive results in her own recovery and has played a key role in projects that connect many people to crucial resources, supporting their recovery success. Notably, she was essential in creating the Penobscot County district attorney’s diversion program, which assists non-violent offenders by providing resources and an opportunity to have their cases dismissed, effectively giving them a second chance.
I encourage you to join me in voting for these dedicated and qualified leaders for Bangor City Council and School Committee on Nov. 4t.
