The No. 1 seeded Medomak Valley High School girls soccer team were defeated by No. 8 seed Old Town in double overtime with a score of 1-0 on Tuesday.
Both teams played a great 45 minute first half, scoreless. Medomak had seven shots on goal while Old Town had six. Chloe Fox, the Medomak goalie, and Olivia Ketch, the Old Town goalie, each had six saves.
The next 45 minutes were very much like the first 45. Scoreless with Medomak only having three shots on goal while Old Town had 11.

The first 15 minute overtime was much like regulation, 0 to 0. Medomak had four shots on goal and Old Town had four.
In the second 15 minute overtime Old Town was able to find the back of the net around the 9-minute mark. Old Town fired a shot, it was saved and then the rebound went to Taylor Madden and she was able to hit the crossbar and the ball bounded backwards and down just inside the goal line giving Old Town the Class B playoff win.
Medomak finishes the season at 12-1-2 and Old Town is now 10-6.
