Authorities say human remains have been found in the woods in Damariscotta.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said that a landowner walking his property line in Damariscotta about 4:35 p.m. Sunday found human remains in a wooded area.
The remains appear to be that of 34-year-old Tyler Low of Damariscotta, according to the sheriff’s office.
Low was reported missing by his family on May 5, 2025. He was last seen leaving his home and going into the woods. Police have notified Low’s family of the discovery.
The remains were taken to the Maine medical examiner’s office in Augusta for further examination and positive identification. The cause of death is under investigation.
There is no evidence of foul play, according to police.
