The girlfriend of New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo showed her support after his gruesome season-ending injury.
Chloe Rodriguez broke her silence via social media on Monday, October 27, one day after Skattebo, 23, underwent surgery to repair the dislocated ankle he suffered during the Giants game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, October 26.
Rodriguez left a blue heart emoji via her Instagram Story above Skattebo’s own social media post from after he came out of surgery.
“Thank you everyone for the support!!” Skattebo wrote via X on Monday. “Surgery went well. I just want to thank the city of Philly for taking the best care of me. Every moment I spent in the hospital with family and friends I felt loved and supported in every way ❤️ thank you to the doctors, surgeons, and staff that did their best work on me.”

After being carted off the field at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday afternoon, Skattebo was taken to a local hospital where he underwent the procedure.
Skattebo added, “This is just the beginning of my journey and I can’t wait to show you guys all about it!!! GOD has a plan for me , stick the course and it will all work itself out , BRB 🫡 #LFG.”
The injury and subsequent surgery will keep Skattebo out of action for the rest of his rookie season.

“If all is good and clean and the surgery went as well as everyone believes, he should be back with no issues for next year,” NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported on Monday. “It’s a gruesome injury, but the recovery is actually not as bad.”
Skattebo and Rodriguez’s relationship dates back to their time together at Sacramento State University, where Skattebo played football and Rodriguez was on the cheerleading squad.
After two years at Sacramento State, Skattebo transferred to Arizona State University where he played the final two years of his collegiate career.
Skattebo was drafted by the Giants in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft — and Rodriguez was by his side for the big moment.

“I love supporting you, keep making us proud ❤️,” Rodriguez posted via Instagram after picks were made in April. “Time to head back east, go @nygiants!”
Rodriguez has shared glimpses into the couple’s life in New York on social media, including a carousel of photos from the Giants’ game at MetLife Stadium against the Los Angeles Chargers earlier this season.

To celebrate the occasion, Rodriguez wore a custom Skattebo shirt reading “I ❤️44,” in honor of his jersey number. She completed the look with a purse emblazoned with her boyfriend’s last name.
Earlier this month, Rodriguez shared a photo via Instagram from the back page of the New York Post after the Giants’ upset victory over the Eagles on October 9. “So far so good
After Skattebo’s injury on Sunday, Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart said he was “devastated.”
“It’s my boy, man, so seeing him go down and obviously reacting to what happened, that sucks,” Dart, 22, told reporters. “It’s the worst part of this game.”
