Kate Hudson was a supportive mama as she took her 7-year-old daughter, Rani Rose, to get her ears pierced.
Hudson, 46, shared a reel of Rani’s exciting experience via TikTok Thursday, October 23, captioning the post, “👑💎💖.”
In the video, Hudson calmed Rani’s nerves as she awaited her milestone moment. Eventually, Hudson comforted Rani as she sat on her lap and listened to “Golden” and “Soda Pop,” hit tracks from Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters. (Taylor Swift’s “Delicate” could also be heard at one point in the clip.)
Hudson had her daughter take some deep breaths as the technician pierced one of her ears. Although Rani looked to be on the verge of tears, she smiled wide when she saw herself in a mirror.

“Can you believe it?” Hudson told her daughter before she had Rani take another deep breath before her other ear was pierced. “Like you’re meditating,” Hudson told her. “Just keep doing it.”
When both ears were done, Hudson beamed with pride as she told her daughter, “Oh, my God, Rani! They’re so beautiful.”
“I have my ears pierced,” Rani proudly said as she looked in the mirror. “You have your ears pierced!” her mom exclaimed.
Rani is Hudson’s only child with fiancé Danny Fujikawa, whom she’s been with since 2016. The actress and singer also shares son Ryder, 21, with ex-husband Chris Robinson and son Bingham, 14, with ex Matt Bellamy.
Hudson shared some updates on her kids during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers in March.
“Ryder is now 21, and he is in performing arts school. Imagine that,” she told Meyers, 51. “Bing is 13 now, and quite actually loves money. We were unfortunately in the Palisades Fire — our house was OK, but you learn a lot about what you take. And the only thing Bing took was his cash box. That’s all he needed, and he then couldn’t figure out how to open it.”
As for Rani? She’s Hudson’s “great critic.”
“She watches everything I do, and she has something to say about it,” Hudson said. “On set on Running Point, she was like always, ‘Now, Mommy, I don’t know why you went to the desk like that.’”

“‘Well, because that’s the joke,’” Hudson told her daughter, who responded, “‘But it’s not funny.’”
“And I was like, ‘Oh. Well, maybe it’ll be funny when you never see it,’” Hudson joked.
It’s no wonder Rani decided to get her ears pierced as Hudson also shared that she’s quite a fashionista and into “lots of sparkles.”
“She’s very much a Libra,” Hudson shared. “Everything’s very aesthetic. Even like architecture, she’ll walk into a building and she’ll just be like, ‘The light is really amazing in here.’ And you’re like, ‘Wow, OK. That’s sophisticated.’”
In celebration of her birthday earlier this month, Hudson shared a Reel via Instagram of special moments with Rani.
“My little lady is 7 today! My sweet sparkly sassy silly sunshine girl! You are the light of my life,” she wrote. “🌟🎂🎉☀️🌟 I love you! Happy Birthday ⚖️ ♎️.”
