
A man was rescued from the Kenduskeag Stream in Bangor on Thursday morning.
He was in the stream near Hannibal Hamlin Park around 10 a.m. He was holding onto a rope and the wall along the stream. The Bangor Fire Department also provided a flotation device.
Police and fire used a boat to rescue him shortly before 10:30 a.m. He was in handcuffs in the boat, Bangor Daily News reporters saw.
The man was in the river for about 20 minutes.
It’s unclear why the man was in the stream. Bangor police spokesperson Sgt. Jason McAmbley said he has no information at this time.
