Todd and Julie Chrisley have a really positive update on their son Chase Chrisley.
“He looks really good. He’s doing really good. I think the videos that have been posted that he’s even put out there, you can just see the light in his eyes,” Julie, 52, said during the Wednesday, October 22, episode of the “Chrisley Confessions 2.0” podcast. “It’s a blessing.”
Todd, 56, chimed in, adding, “My baby is back. I also don’t want to minimize that, because Chase had a problem with alcohol. … It’s a day-to-day thing and he is sober right now.”
Todd explained that Chase, 29, has gained some weight and looks “healthy and happy.” Todd told listeners that they work out together three days a week and he loves spending time with Chase.
“It feeds my soul to be with him and just me and him have that one-on-one time together, doing the working out,” Todd continued. “I’m just so grateful that he is doing so well, and to see the light back in his eyes and to hear the joy coming from him and the plans, and excitement about living again.”

Chase’s struggles with alcohol were shown during the eight-episode docuseries The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, which aired on Lifetime last month.
A few episodes showed Todd being concerned about his son’s weight loss.
“I don’t know exactly what’s going on with Chase,” Todd said during the show. “For about four years, Chase has had stomach issues. When I saw him, I thought my heart was going to break because I realized how thin he was.”
Julie added, “Whatever’s going on, I just want Chase to be healthy. I want him to be mentally in a good headspace. I want the best for him, as I do all my kids.”
Chase revealed in the finale, which aired on September 16, that he would be receiving treatment.
“I just thought I could bury it and bury it, and I can’t,” he said, noting that he hopes to “handle a lot of trauma” by entering rehab.

Fans watched Todd drop his son off at the treatment center in the episode.
“Hoping today is a new beginning. You have to win this battle,” Todd told his son. “My life story is not going to be that I went to prison for 28 months, yours is not going to be that you have a [substance abuse] problem.”
The docuseries detailed how the Chrisley family operated with Todd and Julie in prison. (The couple spent 28 months in prison after being convicted of tax evasion and bank and wire fraud charges. They were pardoned by President Donald Trump in May and released.)
“I thought that going through this with [eldest son] Kyle [Chrisley] would kill me but maybe it was preparation of what I’m going through today. I’m sad I had to bring my son to rehab,” Todd said during the episode. “I’m sad I’m getting on a plane and he’s not on it with me. Even though we’ve been through a lot, I believe God did not bring us this far to drop us off.”
