Harvey Weinstein‘s ex-wife Georgina Chapman was issued a foreclosure notice for her New York City apartment.
Us Weekly can confirm that Chapman, 49, is facing foreclosure after a notice was issued earlier this month that read, “You are in danger of losing your home.” According to the legal documents, Chapman “executed a note to secure” $2.5 million for CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC in 2022 with a loan that would need to be paid off in monthly installments of $9,114.58 on the same day of each month until February 2052.
Chapman mortgaged the property with her brother, Edward Chapman. In 2024, Georgina defaulted on the property’s mortgage and “failed to comply with the conditions of the mortgage by failing to pay portions of principal, interest or taxes, assessments, water rates, insurance premiums, escrow and/or other charges.”
The fashion designer currently owes the initial loan of $2.5 million, in addition to interest since October 2024 and late charges. The complaint also stated that the board at Georgina’s apartment building sued her in February due to owed dues amounting to $7,898.67.

Us has reached out to Georgina for comment. The financial issues come four years after her divorce from Weinstein, 73, was finalized. The former couple, who share daughter India, 14, and son Dashiell, 11, were married nearly 10 years when several women came forward to accuse Weinstein of sexual misconduct in 2017 as part of the #MeToo Movement.
In the wake of the scandal, Georgina ended her marriage to Weinstein.
“It was difficult because the first article was about a time long before I’d ever met him, so there was a minute where I couldn’t make an informed decision. And then the stories expanded and I realized that this wasn’t an isolated incident,” Georgina, who is currently dating Adrien Brody, told Vogue in May 2018. “And I knew that I needed to step away and take the kids out of here.”

The disgraced movie producer is currently serving a 23-year sentence in a New York prison after being convicted on charges of criminal sex act for forcibly performing oral sex on former production assistant Miriam Haley in 2006 and rape in the third degree for an incident with Jessica Mann in 2013. Weinstein was acquitted on a predatory sexual assault count, which could have resulted in a life sentence.
Georgina, for her part, started dating Brody, 52, in 2019. They have since offered glimpses into their relationship, with Brody giving Georgina a sweet shout-out earlier this year after accepting an award at the 2025 Oscars.
Brody mentioned Georgina at the March awards show, saying she “reinvigorated my own self worth but also my values and our values.” He also mentioned “her beautiful children” and thanked them for accepting him into their lives, revealing they call him “Popsy.”
