Virginia Giuffre‘s new book — published months after she died by suicide at age 41 — offers a deeper look into the Giuffre’s allegations against Prince Andrew and her past experience with late convicted billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

An excerpt from the book released prior to its official release on Tuesday, October 21, detailed the first time that Giuffre and Andrew allegedly crossed paths in 2001. Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell (who is currently incarcerated), allegedly prepared Giuffre to meet the former Duke of York.

“Maxwell woke me up that morning by announcing in a singsongy voice: ‘Get out of bed, sleepyhead!’” Giuffre wrote. “It was going to be ‘a special day.’”

Giuffre recalled feeling “like Cinderella,” meeting a “handsome prince.” She was 17 years old at the time.

Giuffre first went public with her allegations against Andrew in 2019. He has continued to deny the claims made against him. Giuffre maintains in her memoir that they slept together that first night.

“In the years since, I’ve thought a lot about how he behaved,” she wrote. “He was friendly enough, but still entitled — as if he believed having sex with me was his birthright.”

Andrew initially stepped back from his royal duties in late 2019 after Giuffre’s allegations first went public. Days before the book dropped, he gave up his royal title and denied Giuffre’s allegations, once again, in a statement released on Friday, October 17.

Giuffre wrote that she hoped Andrew would be “held to account” for his alleged actions. She noted that if the book “helps just one person,” she will have “achieved my goal.”

Keep scrolling for some of the biggest revelations from Giuffre’s book:

The Photo With Prince Andrew

There is a photo of Andrew with Giuffre and Maxwell from the alleged first meeting in 2001. Giuffre claimed in her book that Epstein snapped the picture.

“My mom would never forgive me if I met someone as famous as Prince Andrew and didn’t pose for a picture. I ran to get a Kodak FunSaver from my room, then returned and handed it to Epstein,” she wrote. “I remember the prince putting his arm around my waist as Maxwell grinned beside me. Epstein snapped the photo.”

Alleged Interactions With Andrew

Giuffre alleged in the book that she was forced to have sex with Andrew on three separate occasions when she was 17 and 18 years old. Following their first encounter in London, Giuffre claimed the other two times took place in New York and on Epstein’s private island, respectively.

The third time on Epstein’s island was allegedly an “orgy,” she wrote.

“The other girls all appeared to be under the age of 18 and didn’t really speak English,” Giuffre alleged. “Epstein laughed about how they couldn’t really communicate, saying they are the easiest girls to get along with.”

Her Memory of Epstein

Giuffre wrote that she feared she would “die a sex slave” at Epstein’s hands.

“In session after session, he would play out various fantasies, with me as the victim,” she alleged, adding that he “caused so much pain that I prayed I would black out.”

Giuffre also alleged that she was once taken to the hospital after experiencing bleeding. Epstein allegedly told her that she had “suffered a miscarriage.” One of the other girls later pointed out that there was a scar on her stomach from a possible surgery.

How Is Prince Andrew Connected to the Jeffrey Epstein Scandal? Timeline

“Epstein never wore a condom,” Giuffre claimed. “Neither did the men he and Maxwell trafficked me to.”

Giuffre also alleged in the book that she was sexually assaulted by both Epstein and Maxwell while working at the Mar-a-Lago spa in Florida.

Epstein died by suicide at age 66 in August 2019, while being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York. When writing about his death, Giuffre wrote that “this wasn’t how justice was supposed to work out.”

Seeing Epstein and Andrew Together

In 2011, photos of Epstein and Andrew in New York City were released.

“I was of course revolted to see two of my abusers together, out for a stroll,” Giuffre wrote. “But mostly I was amazed that a member of the royal family would be stupid enough to appear in public with Epstein.”

Giuffre Discusses Her Payout

In 2021, Giuffre sued Andrew for sexual abuse. They settled outside of court the following year. Giuffre did not disclose how much money she received, but wrote about using the payout “to do some good” by developing the Speak Out, Act, Reclaim (Soar) foundation.

“I have begun the slow process of turning my fledgling foundation, Soar, into a professionally run organisation,” she wrote. “My goal is for Soar to combat human trafficking by supporting organisations that focus on prosecution, protection, and prevention.”
