Peacock, like many of the other streaming services, is having an overload of Halloween horror at the moment.
We love a good fright just as much as anyone else, but it’s getting harder to find new movies on the streamer that aren’t horror-related.
That’s why Watch With Us can’t help but select some spooky Peacock flicks for you to binge-watch this weekend.
One of our picks is a horror comedy, while the second is a horror flick that just happens to be funny. But for variety’s sake, we picked a romance movie as well.

‘Cocaine Bear’ (2023)
There is a true story behind the genesis of Cocaine Bear that inspired the movie, but the real-life cocaine bear wasn’t nearly as hilarious as the movie turned out to be. Elizabeth Banks directed the film, but left the leading lady duties to Keri Russell, who plays a waitress named Sari. When Sari’s daughter, Dee Dee (Brooklynn Prince), goes missing in the woods, Sari has no idea what’s waiting for them out there.
As for the cocaine bear, it becomes incredibly aggressive after exposure to the drug, and it viciously attacks anyone who comes near it. However, the bear isn’t the only one dangerous out in the woods. A crime boss named Syd (Ray Liotta) and his men are coming for their lost cocaine, and that’s just going to make things worse.

‘The Cabin in the Woods’ (2012)
If you’ve ever watched a horror film like Friday the 13th or Sleepaway Camp, then you should be well aware of the genre’s conventions. The Cabin in the Woods may be the first movie to actually put forth an explanation for all of the slasher flick cliches into a coherent reason for all of it to exist. We’re not going to spoil that twist here, but it does make us re-contextualize a lot of the older movies.

In the present, Dana Polk (Kristen Connolly), Curt Vaughan (Chris Hemsworth), Marty Mikalski (Fran Kranz) and the rest of their circle of friends have gone to a cabin in the woods for a relaxing vacation. They’ve also unintentionally made themselves a target for some deadly rituals. The group soon notices that they’re acting out of character and falling into stereotypical roles like jock and nerd. But there’s something more sinister affecting them, and it may already be too late to run away from their fate.

‘Emma.’ (2020)
Hollywood really loves adapting Jane Austen stories for film and TV, but the 2020 adaptation of Emma. is one of our favorites. Anya Taylor-Joy plays the title character, Emma Woodhouse, a young woman who fancies herself as a matchmaker in the 19th century.
Emma does have a talent for bringing people together, but she also misreads the romantic intentions of a few men, which leads to some problems. She’s also so focused on finding a husband for her friend, Harriet Smith (Mia Goth), that she doesn’t realize that one of her suitors is actually interested in Emma instead. Untangling these romantic connections is going to take some work, and there may be some broken hearts along the way.
