Angel Reese made her mark on the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The WNBA star, 23, exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about her runway debut ahead of the annual lingerie fashion show on Wednesday, October 15, in Brooklyn, New York.
“I’m really excited,” Reese gushed to Us while getting her hair done. “I’m happy to be here in a room full of amazing women. Just a dream come true.”
When asked how she felt to be the first professional athlete to walk in the show, Reese replied, “It means everything. I know a lot of people are gonna be watching today, and hopefully young girls today get inspiration that they can do these same things.”

She added, “Be a multi dimensional athlete, businesswoman, fashion girl, podcaster, entrepreneur — everything that I’ve done already — and just continue to live the dream.” Reese smiled and said, “I’m really, really happy.”
Reese, who plays forward for the Chicago Sky, admitted that she “didn’t know” how big of a production the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was at first. “As a basketball player, you live in the basketball world, but I’ve always been wanting to be a model,” she said, noting that she’s also posed for the cover of Vogue and has attended the Met Gala “twice.”
“It’s hard for me to have ‘pinch me’ moments because I’ve accomplished so much, so I just continue to thrive and just continue to just dream big,” she said.
Reese also shared that she wasn’t winging the show — she had rehearsed her walk with a “walking coach” and was even given the heels she strutted in “a month and a half” before the runway.
“It’s going to be the biggest stage I’ve ever been on as far as modeling,” Reese said. “So I trust my work. That’s why I’m not nervous today. I’m really confident. I’m going out there because I put a lot of work into my walk.”
She also praised her full beat and bombshell hair, which was making her feel even more confident.
Reese stunned in two different outfits during the show, and was given her first set of wings.
First, she wore a bubblegum push-up bra adorned with florals, a matching thong and an embellished boa. She then changed into a cutout short-sleeve top that exposed her lace bra and matching underwear.
Reese added even more drama to her look with semi-sheer white, sparkly wings attached to her back and silver strappy heels.
The athlete told Us she felt “good” and “sexy” in her lingerie looks because of how “confident in [her] body” she is.

“I work hard as an athlete,” she explained. “I work really, really hard in the gym. Pilates hottie!”
When it comes to skincare, Reese told Us she does “a lot of facials” and always washes her face right after working out to get sweat off her skin. “I will never fall asleep in makeup, like, I’ve never done that, ever,” Reese added. “I’m big on clear skin and feeling good, because the first thing somebody looks at is your face.”
