Kathryn Dennis is a free woman after serving her sentence for her DUI conviction.
Us Weekly can confirm the Southern Charm alum, 34, was released from Berkeley County Hill-Finklea Detention Center in South Carolina on Tuesday, October 14.
“She walked out [of the building] about 5 minutes ago,” an officer from the sheriff’s office told Us at 9:45 a.m. local time.
On October 3, the reality star was sentenced to 30 days in jail for her role in a three-car crash that occurred on May 20, 2024, per NBC Affiliate News 2. She only served 11 days behind bars.

Us reached out to Dennis for comment.
Larry Patrick Griffin, a man who claimed he suffered “serious” injuries as a result of the accident, later sued Dennis on August 14, 2025, according to court documents obtained by Us.
Griffin alleged he was stopped in traffic in the “Northbound lane of Highway 52, in the City of Goose Creek,” South Carolina, when the former reality star reportedly smashed her 2018 GMC pickup truck into the rear of another vehicle, which subsequently hit his car.

In the lawsuit, Griffin accused Dennis of being “under the influence and sway of alcohol and/or controlled substances” at the time of the collision, which he blamed solely on her alleged negligence.
Griffin said he “suffered serious bodily injury, pain and suffering, and mental anguish, and will continue to do so in the future” due to the crash, arguing that Dennis made a “conscious decision to drive a motor vehicle on a public roadway while under the influence and intoxication of alcoholic beverages.”
He demanded unspecified damages in his lawsuit, while the Southern Charm alum has yet to respond.

When officers arrived at the accident scene, they claimed Dennis had “glossy eyes and an odor of alcohol coming from her person.”
They also noted that an unopened mini bottle of Fireball was found on the floorboard of her truck.
The mom of two initially denied she had consumed any alcohol or medication before getting behind the wheel. Later, during questioning, Dennis allegedly admitted to law enforcement that she consumed alcoholic beverages “way earlier” that day.

TMZ shared bodycam footage of her arrest, in which Dennis told cops they were “ruining” her life.
“Y’all are ruining my life,” the ex-Bravolebrity said in the footage. “And my kids’ [lives]. Thanks for nothing. You didn’t even do a field sobriety test to know if you’re legit or not. No, you sure didn’t. You didn’t do a blood alcohol test. Maybe I don’t have the best balance in the whole wide world, but you sure didn’t confirm what you were doing.”
She also appeared to reference her ex, Thomas Ravenel, 63, whom she shares daughter Kensington, 11, and son St. Julien Rembert, 9.

“I don’t give a f*** about me, but my kids? I don’t deserve to be here at all. Sorry you think I do,” Dennis added.
Dennis appeared on Southern Charm for eight seasons before leaving the reality series in January 2023.
