Mark Sanchez was arraigned at Marion County Community Justice Campus shortly after his Sunday, October 12, release from an Indianapolis hospital, according to a report from FOX59.

In a video posted on social media by FOX59 reporter Max Lewis on Sunday, Sanchez could be seen arriving at the Marion County jail to be fingerprinted and have his mugshot taken.

“Mark, you got anything to say about the incident?” Lewis asked Sanchez in the video. “Want to say anything to the bartender that saved your life or [alleged victim] Mr. Tole?”

Sanchez did not reply to either of the questions from the reporter.

The video also shows Sanchez taking off his jacket on his way through security, revealing his arm in a sling.

The former NFL quarterback and current FOX Sports analyst was stabbed on October 4, then later arrested by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police while recovering in the hospital. On October 5, Sanchez was charged with three misdemeanors – battery resulting in injury, public intoxication and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle — in relation to the incident, but on October 6, Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears announced Sanchez is also facing a level 5 felony charge.

The charge carries a penalty of one to five years in prison.

Sanchez was scheduled to be on the call for the game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Las Vegas Raiders for FOX Sports, but was replaced by Brady Quinn following his hospitalization and subsequent arrest.

In the early hours of October 4, Indianapolis police were called to Loughmiller’s Pub and Eatery, where they found Sanchez, 38, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper torso.

Perry Tole, 69, was also found nearby, with cut wounds on his face. Tole was working for Restaurant Technologies as a delivery driver between the Westin Hotel and the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown at the time.

While attempting to perform his duties, Tole was allegedly attacked by Sanchez, who claimed Tole’s box truck was not allowed to be parked in an alley where the former New York Jets star was reportedly seen doing wind sprints.

In a statement to the Indy Star on October 8, Restaurant Technologies said it reached out to Tole’s family to “offer support” and determine “what is needed in the days and weeks to come.”

Tole has been released from Indianapolis’ Methodist Hospital and is currently recovering at home.

Tole later filed a lawsuit against Sanchez and the Fox Corporation on October 6, arguing he sustained “serious bodily injury” due to Sanchez’s “malicious, willful, wanton or grossly negligent conduct.”

According to the lawsuit, Tole suffered severe “permanent disfigurement, loss of function, other physical injuries, emotional distress and other damages.”

The lawsuit claims Fox has an obligation to ensure that its employees conduct themselves “in a reasonable manner.”

Tole argued Fox should have been aware of Sanchez’s alleged “unfitness” and his “propensity for drinking and/or harmful conduct.”

Sanchez played in the NFL for eight seasons, most notably taking the New York Jets to back-to-back AFC Championship Games in his first two years in the league after he was drafted fifth overall in 2009. Sanchez also played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders before retiring from the league in 2019.
