Kris Jenner is ditching her signature black hairstyle for a dramatic new blonde look — at least, just for a day!
The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch, 69, enlisted the help of celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, who transformed her usual dark locks into a platinum blonde bob to celebrate the launch of Shark Beauty’s new Shark Glam multi-styler at CUT Lounge at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, on Wednesday, October 8.
In an Instagram video shared by Appleton on Wednesday, Jenner can be seen sitting in a salon chair with her hair wrapped in a towel. Appleton, 42, is seen behind her with a mixing bowl. Jenner then mouths along to Sabrina Carpenter’s “When Did You Get Hot?” lip-syncing, “Wait, I need a minute.” Appleton mouths the next line, “OK, here it comes,” before Jenner places her hand in front of the camera.
When she removes her hand to show off her transformation, the momager is seen smiling at the camera as she shows off her new blonde look and a chic black ensemble.

“Blondie,” Appleton simply captioned the video.
Later, Jenner shared some of her own snaps of her stylish new look on Instagram. “We had a fun little blonde moment tonight! 👩🏼🦳 🍸,” she captioned the post.
During Wednesday’s Shark Beauty event, Appleton interviewed Jenner in an intimate Q&A session attended by Us Weekly.
Appleton noted that he styled Jenner’s hair using the new Shark Glam and asked how she felt about her look for the event.
“I like it. It’s just fun to switch it up. You know, to like, be blonde” the Kardashians star said. “All you blondes out there, you might have more fun,” she joked with the guests in attendance.
However, don’t get too used to Jenner as a blonde, because the star said the experiment was “just for the day.”
“I mean, you know me, I’ll be back to the black tomorrow,” Jenner told Appleton, before complimenting the celebrity hairstylist for making her hair shine.
Jenner added that she was excited to “have a new look” and “try something different,” noting that she was tired of her signature black pixie haircut.
“I wore that black pixie for so long, you know, I couldn’t look at it anymore,” Jenner admitted to laughter from the audience. “I’m sure my kids are excited that I tried something new.”
As well as experimenting with her hair, Jenner has been turning heads with her youthful appearance over the past several months. She recently opened up about going under the knife for a facelift.
“I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh,” she told Vogue Arabia in an August interview. “I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy. Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself.”
“If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully – meaning you don’t want to do anything – then don’t do anything,” she added. “But for me, this is aging gracefully. It’s my version.”
