ELLSWORTH — Candidates for three seats on Ellsworth’s City Council will convene at The Grand Theater on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 6:30 p.m. The forum is free and open to the public, with a livestream and recording available on the City of Ellsworth’s YouTube channel for those unable to attend in person.
Meet the Candidates 2025 is presented by the Heart of Ellsworth in partnership with The Ellsworth American and the City of Ellsworth. This annual nonpartisan event aims to offer an informative platform for Ellsworth residents ahead of the upcoming election. All candidates running for Ellsworth City Council seats are encouraged to participate. Such forums play a crucial role in raising awareness about local issues and fostering community engagement in local democracy. The Oct. 14 forum will feature seven candidates: Earl Awalt Jr, Timothy Carter, John Linnehan, Eric Marichal, Carol Patterson-Martineau, Patrick Shea and Marrina Smith.
