Travis Kelce hinted at his future in the NFL while chatting with big brother, Jason Kelce, as part of ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown broadcast.
“Trav, year 13. I don’t know how many you got left,” Jason, 37, said during an interview with Travis, 36, and his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes and their coach, Andy Reid, on Monday, October 6.
Jason then asked, “How are you approaching this season?” to which the tight end hinted that he doesn’t want to stop playing — at least not yet.
“Man, I’ll be fortunate to keep having fun with these guys year in year out, man,” Travis said, revealing, “I take it day by day, year by year. I just love coming into work with these guys.”

Travis, who has won three Super Bowls with the Chiefs, explained, “That culture has become my way of life. The expectations every year single year, year in and year out is Super Bowl or failure.”
He noted that the Chiefs losing their first two games of the 2025-2026 NFL season has been tough, but the squad is ready to bounce back.
“The eye in the sky doesn’t lie, baby. You see those first two games and we’re a few plays here and there from being an undefeated football team,” Travis added.

Elsewhere in the interview, Jason gave a shout-out to Travis’ recent personal highs after he proposed to Taylor Swift in August.
“Let’s start what everyone wants to know,” Jason began his sit-down with the trio, which aired ahead of the Chiefs game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday. “Trav, when’s the wedding?”
Travis let out a massive belly laugh, replying, “Shut the f*** up.”
While Jason didn’t touch on Travis’ relationship with Taylor, 35, again, he did gush about his sibling dynamic back on the field in Jacksonville, Florida.
“I just appreciate having a brother that I love and a family that is supportive,” he told his coanchors. “I consider myself very blessed. We live in a weird world, but I’m very fortunate.”

Jason, however, wasn’t the only Kelce at EverBank Stadium on Monday to support Travis. Their mom, Donna Kelce, was spotted on the field during pregame warmups. Donna, 72, wore a No. 87 Kansas City jersey for her youngest son as well as Chiefs earrings and bracelets.
In addition to her NFL gear, Donna rocked a Swiftie hat — with a sketch of her future daughter-in-law on it — and “friendship bracelets,” according to Jason, which fans know is a nod to Swift’s Eras Tour tradition.
“The sweetest mother-in-law,” one fan wrote via X after seeing Donna paying homage to Swift on the sidelines.
The family-filled game marked the Kelces’ first NFL gathering since Travis turned 36 on Sunday, October 5, which was just two days after Swift released her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
On his actual birthday, Travis was spotted attending The Official Release Party of a Showgirl at Tinsel Town theater in Jacksonville.
Donna was also on hand for the special event alongside her brother, Don, and his wife, Joan, according to social media photos.
Swift, for her part, released the official music video for “The Fate of Ophelia” on Sunday, which was inspired by her fiancé.
“You dug me out of my grave and / Saved my heart from the fate of Ophelia (Ophelia),” Swift sings on the track, referring to Travis keeping her from becoming like the character in Hamlet, who was slowly driven mad by love. “Keep it one hundred on the land (Land), the sea (The sea), the sky / Pledge allegiance to your hands, your team, your vibes.”
She continues, “Don’t care where the hell you’ve been (Been) ’cause now (Now), you’re mine / It’s ’bout to be the sleepless night you’ve been dreaming of / The fate of Ophelia.”
