Taylor Swift might have conquered the world but that doesn’t mean you’ll find her rocketing into space — she’s horrified by the idea.
In an interview with BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills on Monday, October 6, Swift was asked if she would like to follow in her old rival Katy Perry’s footsteps by taking a trip to space. When Mills asked Mariah Carey the same question earlier this year, he was met with the now iconic words “I’ve done enough” — but Swift stayed a little less cool.
“Never!” she said, looking horrified. “Why would I do that? There’s no reason to do that. I don’t want to do that, ever. I never … oh my God, no!”
She elaborated, “It’s cold, it’s scary, I don’t know if I can come back down. If I go, no one will believe I went. It doesn’t matter if you go, because everyone thinks you didn’t go, or they have a weird take on it. I have no fascination.”

She added: “But thank you for asking! I don’t know why I just completely freaked out, it was like I thought you were going to make me go.”
So, it’s official — you won’t find Taylor Swift in space, like, ever. There will be no Life of a Spacewoman or Tortured Astronauts Department, and any Martians hoping to catch the Eras tour hitting up their planet will be sadly disappointed.

In the interview to promote her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, Swift also presented Mills with a loaf of lemon and blueberry sourdough bread that she had baked, after Mills was impressed by a previous guest on his show, Swift’s good friend Zoe Kravitz, telling him about Swift’s talent for baking.
Swift also shut down fan speculation that she might stop making albums after she marries fiancé Travis Kelce. “That’s a shockingly offensive thing to say,” she said. “It’s not why people get married, so they can quit their job. It’s like, I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do, and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music.”

She continued, “That’s the coolest thing about Travis; he’s so passionate about what he does that me being passionate about what I do, it connects.”
Swift also opened up about her dynamic with Kelce, 36, and how, in some surprising ways, their work is very similar. “It just is the most fun thing in the world to support each other, and the polarity of how different our jobs are,” she said. “But there’s a lot of similarities, too. We both as a living, as a job, as a passion, perform for three and a half hours in NFL stadiums. We both do three and a half hour shows to entertain people. … For him, it’s practice; for me, it’s rehearsal. For him, it’s a game; for me, it’s a show. We just call them different things. We both have teams. It’s a very similar thing.”
Swift also revealed that the couple, who announced their engagement in August, haven’t yet started wedding planning, as right now she is focused on promoting her new album.
We guess as long as Kelce isn’t hoping to get married on the moon, it’s all good.
