Keith Urban kept a nod to his family included in his first concert following his split from Nicole Kidman.
A photo of Kidman, 58, and daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith, 14, appeared in a slideshow during Urban’s performance of his song “Heart Like a Hometown” at his show at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, October 2, which Us Weekly attended. The preexisting slideshow played after Urban, 57, told a story about leaving school at age 15 to pursue music full-time, expressing gratitude to his parents for allowing him to follow his passion.
Urban took to the stage on Thursday night without his wedding ring, two days after Us confirmed that Kidman had filed for divorce after 19 years of marriage. He was in good spirits throughout the night and had plenty of playful interactions with fans, including a moment during “Kiss a Girl” where he took an audience member’s phone and FaceTimed with their shocked loved one.
Elsewhere in the night, Urban delivered a passionate performance of his breakup song “You’ll Think of Me” and made a minor tweak to a lyric, adding the phrase “your bulls*** reasons” to the line, “Take your space and take your reasons.”
Keith Urban Changed Nicole Kidman Lyric to Guitar Player Before Split News
Urban’s utility player Maggie Baugh was not present at the show days after the pair made headlines for a lyric change in the country singer’s song “The Fighter.” Natalie Stovall, who has rotated with Baugh throughout Urban’s High and Alive Tour, performed with Urban instead. However, Urban and Stovall notably did not sing “The Fighter” on Thursday night.
In the Kidman-inspired song, Urban typically sings, “When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter.” However, during a recent concert prior to the split, he changed the lyric to give Baugh, 25, a shout-out.
“When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player,” he sang.
Baugh shared footage of the moment via Instagram on September 27 and wrote, “Did he just say that 👀.”
Maggie’s father, Chuck Baugh, later shared a TikTok video claiming that his daughter may “allegedly [be] the person responsible for Keith’s divorce from Nicole Kidman” and denied the rumor, according to TMZ.
“NO. Just No,” Chuck replied via Facebook on Wednesday, October 1.
Us confirmed on Monday, September 29, that Urban and Kidman had separated. She filed for divorce the following day, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, according to court docs obtained by Us.
Along with the filing, Kidman submitted a marital dissolution agreement signed by both herself and Urban. The agreement included a parenting plan, a child support plan and a “parenting seminar order.”
Though the document was signed by the Babygirl actress on September 6 and the musician on August 29, their date of separation was listed as Tuesday, September 30 — the same day as Kidman’s divorce filing.
Urban and Kidman were last seen together at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 game in Nashville on June 20. They had not posted each other on their respective social media pages in months prior to the split news. Urban last shared a photo of Kidman in May after he won the Triple Crown Award at the Academy of Country Music Awards, while Kidman paid tribute to Urban on their anniversary in June.
