It was a beautiful fall night under the lights, Medomak girls soccer started off very strong and was able to put the ball into the net with only two minutes gone in the first half. Grace Townsend scored the first goal off a corner kick from Haylee Chandler giving Medomak the lead 1-0. About 22 minutes later Medomak scored again, this time by Scarlett Flint off a pass from Chandler. This gave Medomak a 2-0 lead going into the half.
Medomak continued to play hard in the second half and with just shy of 11 minutes left in the game scored again making it 3-0 Medomak. This goal was by Scarlett Flint again, on a pass from her sister, Skylar Flint.
The duo gave Medomak their final lead of the game, 3-0, which was the ending score as well.
Lawrence’s goalie, Riley Souzer, had 21 total saves, seven in the first half and 14 in the second.
Medomak’s goalie, Chloe Fox, had 7 saves, 5 in the first and 2 in the second.
Lawrence had 11 direct kicks and two corners, while Medomak had five direct kicks and six corners. Medomak had 12 shots in the first half and 19 in the second half, Lawrence had eight shots in the first and three in the second.
The Medomak JV team came away with a win as well with a 5-2 victory.
Goal one was scored with about 10 minutes gone in the first half. Autumn Holub scored on an assist from Eliza Prock giving MVHS the lead 1-0. About five minutes later Lawrence scored, tying the game back up on a goal from Miara Goldsmith. About three minutes later Medomak scored again giving them the lead back 2-1 on a goal from Haddee Brown. Ella McClean had an amazing throw-in, which then went to Sydney Boggs, who passed it up to Haddee who scored.
Medomak held the lead 2-1 at the half.
Going into the second half Medomak scored with less than three minutes gone on the clock on a goal by Sydney Boggs giving Medomak the lead of 3-1. About three minutes later Lawrence scored, making it 3-2 Medomak. This goal was by Riley Souzer.
Less than three minutes later Medomak answered back Sydney Boggs scoring again giving Medomak an even better lead of 4-2.
Sydney Boggs found the net one last time with less than a minute and a half left, earning herself a hattrick scoring giving Medomak the lead of 5-2 winning the game.
