Prince William has opened up about missing Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip – saying there’s “been quite a bit of change” – in a new show with actor Eugene Levy.
William talks about his grandparents with the Schitt’s Creek star in an episode of travel series The Reluctant Traveller, filmed around Windsor Castle.
As William speaks about Queen Elizabeth II, he says warmly “for me Windsor is her”.
While looking out of one of the castle windows at the countryside, Mr Levy asks: “Do you miss your grandmother?”
William replies: “I do actually, yeah, I do miss my grandmother, and my grandfather.
“It’s been quite a bit of change, so you do sort of, you think about them not being here any more, and particularly being in Windsor – for me Windsor is her.”
Talking about how much Windsor meant to the Queen, he adds: “She loved it here, she spent most of her time here.

“Showing you around today is very much a case of trying to make sure I’m doing it in the way she’d want you to see it,” says William.
“She had her horses here as well – as you can imagine that was a big deal for her – so that’s why she loved it here.”
Last week, a trailer for the episode Living The Royal Life In The UK revealed how William also talks about how difficult it was for him last year, when both the Princess of Wales and the King were diagnosed with cancer.
“I’d say 2024 was the hardest year I’ve ever had,” he says.
“Life is said to test us as well, and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are.”

The preview of that episode also saw Levy invited to “pop down” to Windsor Castle for a private tour by the prince.
Levy, 78, can be seen reading out an invitation saying: “I heard that your travels have brought you to the UK and I wondered if you might like to see Windsor Castle?
“If you’re free at 10 tomorrow, why don’t you pop down to the Castle for a private tour. Would be great to see you!”
New episodes of The Reluctant Traveller With Eugene Levy will premiere weekly on Apple TV+ until the finale on 31 October. The special episode with William will air on 3 October.
