British singer Joss Stone had a pretty recent eye-opening conversation with Prince Harry — and hopes the Duke of Sussex will return to the U.K.
“He was saying how wonderful the schools are here and how important community is for children,” Stone, 38, told Hello! Magazine about meeting up with Harry, 41, at the WellChild Awards in London earlier this month.
Stone said “it was nice to share that moment with Harry because it related to her own family’s journey.
“It’s exactly why we felt drawn to come back — for the kids to grow up surrounded by family, friends and a strong sense of belonging and most importantly in a safe environment,” she continued.

Stone shares four kids — daughter Violet, 4, son Shackleton, 2, son Bear, who was adopted in December 2024, and daughter Nalima, 3 months — with American husband Cody DaLuz. They recently relocated to the U.K. from the United States.
“He joked about me having four children, saying it’s ‘two too many,’” Stone also shared of Harry, revealing that he met her youngest daughter. “Or maybe it wasn’t a joke!”
She continued, “He also asked about how we were settling back in and was genuinely interested in our move home. He’s just very warm and down to earth, as always.”
Stone wondered if “Harry will move back home too” in the near future. “That would be nice,” she added.
Harry and wife Meghan Markle relocated from the U.K. to the U.S. in 2020 after stepping back from their roles as senior working royals. (The couple shares two kids, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.)

After Harry lost his appeal for government-funded security in the U.K. earlier this year, the Duke of Sussex spoke candidly about the possibility of ever returning home.
“I can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point,” he said in a May interview with BBC. “I love my country, I always have done, despite what some people in that country have done.”
He noted it was “really quite sad” that his kids couldn’t come to the U.K. anymore.
Despite his past remarks, Harry made his return earlier this month to attend the WellChild Awards. The duke also made headlines for a surprise sit-down with his father, King Charles III, on September 10. Their private meeting was the first time they had seen each other in nearly two years.
“The focus really has to be on my dad,” Harry told The Guardian on Sunday, September 14, confirming that he would “spend more time in the U.K” in the coming months. Harry also noted that the meeting with Charles, 76, had “definitely” changed his opinion on bringing his kids back home.
