BANGOR — Justin DeVito, DO, joins Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center to care for pediatric gastroenterology patients. Dr. DeVito manages and treats all aspects of pediatric gastroenterology and has a clinical interest in inflammatory bowel disease and eosinophilic esophagitis, a chronic inflammatory condition of the esophagus.
The Maine native earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, then completed a Pediatric residency at Keesler Medical Center at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. He honed his pediatric experience further by completing a fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.
During his career, Dr. DeVito has served as a pediatric gastroenterologist at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia where he also served as associate program director of the Pediatric Residency program at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. After 23 years of active duty, Dr. DeVito retired from the United States Air Force as a colonel and is excited to care for patients in his home state.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Dr. DeVito will see patients at Northern Light Pediatric Gastroenterology in Bangor.
