Meghan Markle toasted her husband Prince Harry’s 41st birthday with plenty of fanfare — and a throwback photo.
“Oh hi, Birthday Boy
,” Meghan, 43, captioned an Instagram post on Monday, September 15. She shared an image of Harry in his military uniform from his time in active duty.
Meghan previously marked her spouse’s milestone birthday last year with a blowout bash at their Montecito, California mansion.
Harry and Meghan have been married since 2018, going on to welcome son Prince Archie in 2019 and daughter Princess Lilibet in 2021. One year before Lili’s arrival, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their duties as senior working royals and moved to California.
“That man loves me so much, and, you know, look at what we’ve built,” Meghan said on the “Jamie Kern Lima Show” in April. “We’ve built a beautiful life and we have two healthy, beautiful children. … Now, seven years later, when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way, and that’s why I feel like it’s more of a honeymoon period for us now.”

Meghan further gushed that she thought Harry is a “fox.”
“My husband’s very, very handsome, but his heart is even more beautiful,” she added, also comparing Harry to an iconic video game character. “I always think about the end of Super Mario Brothers, when you get to the final, final level and … the goal [is] ‘Slay the dragon, save the princess.’ “I’m like, ‘That’s my husband. He’s just out there. Just constantly — he’s just going to do whatever he can to make sure our family is safe and protected and we’re uplifted and still make time for date nights.”
Harry has been vocal about protecting his family, even filing a lawsuit to request security whenever Archie and Lili traveled to England with their parents. Harry lost his legal appeal earlier this year.

“I can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point,” Harry told the BBC in May. “I love my country, I always have done, despite what some people in that country have done.”

The security battle also sparked a rift with Harry’s father, King Charles III, and the prince’s brother, Prince William.
“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” Harry told the BBC. “There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family.”
Harry recently traveled to England by himself, where he visited with Charles, 76, at the king’s Clarence House. (Charles has been battling an undisclosed form of cancer since 2024.)
“Yes, he’s great, thank you,” Harry told reporters on September 10 after he was asked how the long-awaited reunion with his father played out.
