The Medomak Valley High School girls soccer team had its first home game of the 2025 season vs. Erskine on Friday.
It was a scoreless match at the half, MVHS had eight shots on goal with eight saves by the Erskine goalie. Erskine had four shots on goal and Chloe Fox the MVHS goalie had all 4 saves.
The second half was a different story. Medomak’s Scarlett Flint found the back of the net with 31:50 on the clock off a pass from Grace Townsend. This gave MVHS the lead.
This lead stayed for the remainder of the game: Medomak one, Erskine zero. Six shots were taken in the second half by MVHS and Erskine goalie made three saves. Erskine shot four times on goal and Chloe Fox made all four saves. Erskine had three direct kicks and no corners, MVHS had six direct kicks and four corners.
MVHS is now 2-0 on the season.
The MVHS girls JV soccer team got outplayed by Erskine and lost 5-1. Sydney Boggs scored the lone goal for Medomak.
