Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, dodged a question about his recent engagement to Taylor Swift at a red carpet event.
Nicole, 33, was quizzed whether she had a “comment about Travis’ engagement” as she walked the red carpet at a New York Fashion Week event hosted by Champion and Sports Illustrated on Thursday, September 11. However, the sports reporter and influencer deftly avoided the question.
“Oh, no, no, no,” Nicole told a Daily Mail reporter, adding, “But I’m really happy to be here at Champion, though! This is a dope party.”
Nicole and Kelce, 35, dated on and off from 2017 to 2022 before calling it quits. Kelce began dating Swift, also 35, a year later. The couple announced their engagement last month after two years of dating.

In her interview with the Daily Mail, Nicole confirmed she is single and shared some of the values she is looking for in a partner.
“I love an honest man, a man of really great character,” she said, adding that they should also like “to have fun” and be “spontaneous.” She also said that she values a man who has a “great relationship with their family” and “really good girlfriends.”
But, for now, Nicole said, “I’m living in my little single season.”
During a recent episode of her podcast, “The Pre-Game,” Nicole responded to the idea that a man giving a woman his last name is “the most player s*** that you could do.”
“I respectfully disagree,” Nicole said with a laugh. “The most player s*** you could do is put [a million dollars] in her bank account.”
Nicole added, “I think generational wealth is the greatest thing you could give a woman.”
Kelce and Swift broke the news of their engagement with a joint Instagram post on August 26.

Kelce popped the question in a serene garden setting in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. After the news broke, Kelce’s dad, Ed Kelce, confirmed the engagement actually took place two weeks before the announcement.
“Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago,” Ed told ABC affiliate News 5 Cleveland. “He was going to put it off till this week … but he was going to put her off till this week to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big, special event.”
Ed continued, “And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event … when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.”
