Influencer Jaqueline Barbosa Nascimento has died days after being reported missing. She was 22.
Nascimento’s body was recently found by local Brazilian police officers, according to a Wednesday, September 3, report from the newspaper Metrópoles. The outlet reported that Nascimento drowned in the Jaguari dam in Igaratá, Brazil, after disappearing on a jet ski ride three days earlier.
Nascimento had traveled to Igaratá to “take photos,” according to friend Gabrielle Reis.
“All of our close friends and I begged her not to go because none of us would be able to keep up,” Reis told Metrópoles. “Then she kept pestering us all week, saying, ‘Let’s go, let’s go.’ In the end, she went.”

She continued, “I met Jaque through a friend many years ago, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. She was always a very sweet, loving girl, always thinking of others. She was a good person, a good friend.”
Reis also shared a handful of photos of Nascimento via her Instagram Stories on Thursday, September 4, and revealed plans for a memorial the next day.
“Tomorrow we will all be there honoring you, my love,” Reis wrote via her Instagram Story. “We are gray and you are colorful because you were our light.”
In a follow-up post on Friday, September 5, Reis shared a selfie as she and two friends wore T-shirts with images of Nascimento’s face on the front.
Nascimento had more than 12,000 followers on Instagram and 1,700 on TikTok. She last posted on Instagram on August 27.
“From a fun Friday out there LOL,” she captioned a handful of photos with Reis from a night out.

Following her tragic death, many of Nascimento’s followers offered their condolences in the comments section.
“May God receive you under his mantle 
,” one Instagram user wrote, with another adding, “My little star 
.”
Others acknowledged how Nascimento’s August upload is the last one she posted.
“Poor thing, that was her last post, so sad my God 
,” a fan replied.
A fifth, meanwhile, wrote, “I couldn’t even believe it when I saw the news, may God comfort her family, my condolences and condolences.”
Nascimento also posted lakeside selfie footage onto her TikTok Sunday, August 31.
The social media personality often posted uploads without captions. Her bio also read in Portuguese, “I’ve always liked the feeling of not being like everyone else,” alongside a Brazilian flag emoji.
